HiBot is a venture spun off from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, rooted in Professor Shigeo Hirose's snake-like robots, first presented in 1972. It was founded in 2004 by former students of Hirose to create robots that help people through industrial applications of advanced technology. The company develops robots for inspecting and maintaining infrastructure such as petrochemical plants, aircraft, power plants and transmission lines. HiBot ↗
