Niryo began in 2016 as a student project at ISEN, led by founder Marc-Henri Frouin, and released its first robotic arm, funded through Kickstarter, in 2017. Starting in educational robotics, the company later expanded into professional applications and developed actuators, robotics architecture and software in-house.
