Pollen Robotics was founded in 2016 by Matthieu Lapeyre and Pierre Rouanet, former developmental robotics researchers at Inria's Flowers team, and is based in Bordeaux, France. It develops expressive, open-source robots, including the Reachy humanoid launched at CES 2020 and its successor Reachy 2. In 2025 the company joined Hugging Face.
