Overview
The Scuba X1 family is Aiper's range of cordless in-ground pool robots that charge on a wireless dock. The base X1 cleans floor, walls and waterline in pools up to 2,150 sq ft, while the flagship X1 Pro Max adds surface skimming, ultrasonic mapping and nine motors for pools up to 3,200 sq ft. Reviewers liked its hands-off cleaning but noted its weight, slow surface skimming and Bluetooth dropouts at low battery. Aiper is a Shenzhen company, and in 2025 it recalled its older Seagull Pro over battery fire risk. The camera-guided Scuba V3 and the budget Scuba S series sit alongside it, and it competes with the Beatbot AquaSense 2.
