Overview
The Roomba Plus 405 and 505 Combos were iRobot's first robots with a dock that washes and dries spinning mop pads, launched in March 2025 alongside the vacuum-only Plus 504. The 405 has no camera and scored poorly in Vacuum Wars testing, with weak carpet and pet-hair pickup and heavy water use, while the 505 adds PrecisionVision obstacle avoidance, extending pads and heated drying. The 504 and 505 later gained Matter support, the 405 did not. In 2026 iRobot replaced the family with the smaller Roomba Plus 415/515/575, and the iRobot store now lists the 405 as out of stock, though leftover 405 and 505 units are still sold by some retailers.
