Overview
The PowerDetect 2800 series arrived in mid-2024 as Shark's first lidar robots with a mop-washing base option. Five PowerDetect features adjust suction on dirt and carpet, blow debris out of edges, extend the mop pad into corners and lift or drop the pad for carpet, and the NeverStuck chassis raises itself over thresholds up to 38 mm. Vacuum Wars rated vacuuming and obstacle avoidance average and found the app thin, with no multi-floor maps or per-room settings, and the base washes pads with cold water only. The ThermaCharged and UV Reveal models sit above it. The NeverTouch Pro is out of stock at SharkNinja in October 2026, while the Self-Empty version is still sold at Amazon and Walmart.
