Remote control: The arm plugs into a Linux laptop over USB, and the Interbotix Python API on top of ROS 2 commands joints or end-effector poses.

Overview

The largest arm in the Interbotix X-series, with three times the payload of the WidowX 250 thanks to bigger XM540 Dynamixels. The ViperX 300 S became famous as the follower arm in Stanford's original ALOHA bimanual teleoperation setup (2023), paired with WidowX leader arms. Trossen has discontinued it, and the WidowX AI takes its place in newer ALOHA-style kits.
