Highlighted cells are the strongest in their row. Speeds marked (est.) are not published by the maker. They come from owner measurements or the makers' gait code, explained on each robot page. Prices are US list prices as of September 2026. Each robot's page has full specs, sources and photos.
Which one fits
- Unitree R1 is the cheapest and tallest, at $4,900 from Unitree's own store, with a swappable 1-hour battery. The Air and R1 are closed to custom code, so RL work needs the $10,500 EDU, which sits above this range.
- Mini Pi+ is the cheapest with full low-level torque control, at $5,500 direct, and HighTorque publishes Isaac Lab training code and a MuJoCo model. Its store takes orders online but publishes no shipping times, and the Base has no camera.
- Booster K1 has the most complete official RL pipeline, from Isaac Lab training to MuJoCo checks to deployment, with the SDK on every tier. US resellers charge $7,500 to $7,980 for the Geek against Booster's $5,999 list price, and the Geek battery lasts about 30 minutes.
- BRUCE is the lightest at 4.8 kg, so falls do little damage, and Westwood ships in-stock orders within 5 business days with US duties prepaid. It is a locomotion platform with simple arms, no camera and a battery that lasts about 20 minutes.
- Bumi EDU-Pro has the longest runtime at 2–3 hours, plus a Jetson, a RealSense depth camera and 500 Hz motor control. It is sold only through resellers shipping from China, and its training code and simulation support are thinner than those of K1 or Mini Pi+.
