Overview
The obvious pick, with one catch. Unitree locks SDK2 to EDU. The community go2_webrtc_connect / go2_ros2_sdk projects let an external computer (e.g. a Jetson Orin Nano carried as a backpack) drive it, read lidar and stream video, it works, but can break with firmware updates.
The sweet spot for a home companion robot that roams and talks is a Go2 Pro + Orin Nano Super backpack (≈ $3,100), for owners who accept the unofficial SDK.
