Overview

Polaris, Fluidra's US pool cleaner brand, introduced the Freedom on March 30, 2023 as its first cordless robot, and added the Freedom Plus in 2024. It uses the brand's cyclonic suction and cleans floors, walls and the waterline for about 2.5 hours. The plain Freedom cannot be steered on demand, while the Plus adds a LiFi remote and mapping. It connects to the same iAquaLink app as Polaris corded robots, which also opens it to Home Assistant through a community integration. Outside the US essentially the same robot is sold as the Zodiac FreeRider.
