R1 Dual-Arm (A5 / A7 / A5-D / A7-D)

Unitree · 2026 · All Unitree Robotics robots

From $4,290 (fixed R1-A5), wheeled -D price not publishedUnitree lists the line "from $4,290". Its US store (shop.unitree.com) prices only the fixed-torso R1-A5 at $4,290 and shows all four versions sold out (October 2026). The wheeled R1-A5-D and R1-A7-D have no published price. RoboStore does not list it. No FCC authorization for the wheeled versions was found, so whether they can be sold in the US is unclear.

Weeks+Shipping: Not orderable. Unitree's US store shows every version sold out (October 2026), and RoboStore does not carry it. Unitree's only 2026 R1 FCC grant (2A5PE-YUSHU010, June 22, 2026) covers the R1 Air, R1 and R1 EDU, and no grant for the wheeled -D versions was found. Since the FCC's July 28, 2026 rule blocks new foreign-made mobile robots, US sale of the wheeled versions is unclear. The fixed-torso versions are not mobile robots. Unitree store ↗
Remote control: Not documented for this model. Unitree's other robots are programmed with unitree_sdk2 (C++) or unitree_sdk2_python from a PC on the robot's network (R1-D support unconfirmed).

Overview

A modular dual-arm upper body built from Unitree R1 parts, sold either bolted to a table or on a wheeled base with a lift column that raises it to 1.6 m. It suits labs and small factories that want a cheap two-armed robot for teleoperation and manipulation research, with grippers or dexterous hands swapped on per task. The catch is that only the fixed-torso version has a public price, every version shows sold out, and arm payload is 2–4 kg.
