Overview

The S40 is Xiaomi's basic lidar robot vacuum, launched globally in late 2025. It maps the home with a lidar turret, supports no-go zones and multiple floors, and runs up to 180 min, which is long for its price. Mopping is a simple dragged pad that does not lift, and the base only charges. Sibling models include the S40C and the 15,000 Pa S40 Pro. For a mop-washing dock the X20 family is the next step up.
