Highlighted cells are the strongest in their row. Speeds marked (est.) are not published by the maker. They come from owner measurements or the makers' gait code, explained on each robot page. Prices are US list prices as of September 2026. Each robot's page has full specs, sources and photos.
Which one fits
- Unitree Go2 Air is the cheapest real robot dog and the most widely owned, with a 4D lidar on every tier. The catches are that the Air skips the voice assistant, official programming needs the $11,190+ EDU, and orders from Unitree take a month plus freight.
- Rover X1 is the closest Go2 rival at $1,999, with 16 cm step climbing, a large-battery option and a wheel-leg Pro Flex. Its sensors and processor are undisclosed, and stock is only just arriving.
- Jueying Lite3 is the most programmable. The $2,890 Basic comes with Deep Robotics' official motion SDK and API, which the other dogs reserve for versions costing $3,599 to $11,000 or more.
- Sony aibo is designed to be a pet, not a platform. It is small, lifelike and expressive and arrives in days, but it can't do stairs or run outside, and most features need a $300-a-year plan.
- AgiBot D1 Pro is a fast, acrobatic dog for $3,200 from AgiBot's own store, controlled by remote only.
- MagicDog has the most sensors and the most companion features, with lidar, a depth camera, a face screen and LLM chat. It is made to order through US resellers.
- FX Aegis Pro is the fastest at 3.7 m/s and the easiest to get, shipped by its maker through Amazon US. It is remote-controlled only, and programming starts with the $9,990 Pro Edu.
