Beijing Inspire-Robots (founded 2016) makes the RH56 series of humanoid five-finger hands. The company calls the RH56DFX its model with the largest cumulative shipments, and it says it was the first to deliver over 10,000 dexterous hands. It is an optional hand for Unitree H1 and G1 humanoids, driven by Unitree's own controller service. Unitree's model files also cover the RH56DFQ and tactile RH56DFTP versions for G1 and H1-2.
The hand is underactuated, meaning it has fewer motors than joints. Six linear servo actuators (small motor-driven screw rods) pull linkages that bend 12 joints. Each actuator reports position and force, but a 2026 Correll Lab study found the force readings uncalibrated and force-limit overshoot of up to 1618% at high speed. Variants include the lighter BFX, the tactile E2 (Booster T1 compatible per Generation Robots) and newer F1 and H1 models. Inspire publishes no release date, so the 2020 year listed is (unconfirmed).
