Overview

A six-legged running robot that is folded together from flat laser-cut sheets in under an hour, with no tools. It came from Dash Robotics, founded in 2013 by UC Berkeley PhD students, and its cockroach-style legs descend directly from Berkeley's DASH research robot. Mattel took it to mass retail in 2017 with eight insect shells and later a Jurassic World raptor. It has since been discontinued, and the app no longer installs on current Android phones and works only on older iOS devices.

A clever, fast little walker, but buy one only as a collectible since the app has been abandoned.
