Overview

Sold as a "spider" but built as a four-legged walker with three micro servos per leg. Like the Freenove Robot Dog, it is a 12-DOF Raspberry Pi kit with camera streaming and IMU self-balancing, but without an ultrasonic sensor. It is driven from a web page, a desktop GUI or a phone app, with OpenCV color tracking and motion detection. Adeept's course package (V2.2, October 2025) covers assembly, servo control and gait code. A 2024 review on Adeept's store reported that the old setup script failed on Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm. Adeept updated the GitHub code in 2025 and now lists the Pi 3B, 3B+, 4 and 5 as supported.
