Overview

The current version of Petoi's robot cat, replacing the wooden Nybble kit. It has a 3D-printed body, an ESP32 board in place of the old Arduino-class one, and servos that report their position, so poses can be taught by moving the legs by hand. It comes assembled, measures 240 × 115 × 155 mm, and runs about 45 to 60 minutes per charge. It uses the same OpenCat software as the Bittle X, with 11 joints instead of 9, adding a second head joint and a tail. Its built-in skills include walk, trot, crawl, bound and dozens of cat poses and tricks. Unlike the Bittle X, it cannot jump or flip. Petoi says the extra servo weight rules out jumps, and the head and tail block front and back flips. A custom jump or sideways roll could be built in Skill Composer, and the alloy servos give more room for this. Software on a computer can also set each joint angle over serial, with a delay of a few milliseconds. Petoi lists it for ages 10 and up.
