Overview

A B2-class patrol and inspection dog with a published $80,000 store price, aimed at site operators who want ready-made patrols.

An industrial quadruped from Pudu Robotics, the Shenzhen maker best known for restaurant delivery and cleaning robots. Launched on December 3, 2025, the D5 series is built for patrol, inspection, logistics support and emergency response at sites such as airports, metro systems and industrial campuses. The legged D5 handles stair treads and tight spaces. The D5-W puts a wheel on each foot for faster, longer patrols on smoother ground. Both weigh 61–62 kg, carry 20–30 kg, are sealed to IP67 and run from –20°C to 55°C. Two lidars and four fisheye cameras feed a Jetson AGX Orin and RK3588 pair rated at 275 TOPS.

Autonomous mapping and navigation, person following and return-to-charge come as standard. Operators can use a handheld remote with a screen, voice commands, 10+ hand gestures or PUDU's cloud dispatch. Add-ons include a metal delivery crate, an inspection kit with a camera mast and a charging station. PUDU's own footnotes say some features aren't available to customers yet and that delivered units may differ from its promotional material. At $80,000 the D5 lands near Unitree B2 and Unitree B2-W in size, payload and price, with a published US store price. No public SDK, URDF or simulator model exists, so it suits operators who want a ready-made patrol robot. Research labs have more open options in the B2 and DEEP Robotics X30.

PUDU says the D5-W on wheels suits longer patrols on smoother ground and the legged D5 suits stair treads and confined spaces. PUDU store ↗ · Pudu Robotics D5 page ↗
