Overview
The Tinyhawk III Plus is an FPV racing quad from EMAX in two frames. The Whoop is a 76 mm ducted design with built-in prop guards, weighing 32.5 g without a battery. The Freestyle is a larger 110 mm carbon-blend frame with open 2.5-inch props, weighing 62.5 g. Each comes with analog or HDZero digital video. Both run Betaflight on an STM32F411 flight controller and take 1S or 2S batteries. The drone-only (BNF) versions need separate goggles and an ExpressLRS radio. The RTF kits include EMAX Transporter 2 goggles and an E8 radio.
The Freestyle version has open props, so it is less suited to flying indoors around people. Neither version holds position by itself. Its self-leveling mode keeps it upright, but the pilot controls throttle and drift at all times. The Tello hovers in place by itself using optical flow. The Whoop is larger than 65–70 mm whoops such as the BetaFPV Air65 and BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro. The RTF kits suit beginners who want a complete FPV setup in one box.
