Overview

A small acrylic-framed four-legged crawler kit from ACEBOTT, driven by eight MG90S servos (two per leg) and an ESP8266 board that creates its own Wi-Fi network for the ACEBOTT phone app. The app gives 6 movement directions and 9 preset actions such as greet, push-up and dance, and the kit comes with 8 lessons in ACECode blocks and Arduino C. It has no sensors at all, so it cannot avoid obstacles or balance on its own and acts only as a remote-controlled or pre-programmed walker. Compared with Bittle it costs much less but lacks an IMU, Petoi's open-source OpenCat firmware and its large community, and Petoi Quaddle walks on fewer servos but adds a gyroscope and a newer ESP32-S3 board. Amazon reviews (3.7 of 5 stars) praise it as a starter build but report hard-to-find instructions, missing or mismatched parts, and in one case plastic-geared servos, so it suits patient beginners aged about 12 and up who want a cheap first legged robot to assemble and code.
