Overview
The AI version of MechDog, using the same aluminum 8-servo ESP32 body with a WonderLLM module mounted on its head. No ultrasonic sensor is listed for this version. The module carries an ESP32-S3, a 2 MP camera, microphones, a speaker and a 2-inch touch screen, and links to cloud models such as DeepSeek, Doubao and Qwen3 for voice chat, scene description and spoken commands. The Advanced Kit adds a 3-servo arm with a gripper, so it can find an object named aloud, pick it up and carry it. The AI features need Wi-Fi and an account on the third-party Xiaozhi platform, and with 8 leg servos the gait is as limited as the base model. It suits students and makers who want a programmable robot dog that takes spoken instructions.
Hiwonder sells two kits built on the same robot. The Standard Kit ($499.99) is the dog with the WonderLLM module, a charger, cables, EVA blocks and tools. The Advanced Kit ($539.99) adds the 3-DOF robotic arm used for grasping and transport. The Standard Kit costs $200 more than the base MechDog Standard kit, while the Advanced Kit is $30 less than the MechDog Pro Developer Kit, which also has an arm. Unlike the base MechDog line there are no micro:bit or LEGO add-ons.

Contents come from Hiwonder's packing list images for each kit. Hiwonder publishes no feature chart per kit, so the feature rows are inferred from the packing lists (only the Advanced Kit has the arm). Both kits share the same robot (ESP32 controller, 8 HPS-0618SG coreless servos, 7.4 V 1500 mAh battery, WonderLLM module). Hiwonder store ↗ · WonderLLM wiki ↗
