Overview

A 12-DOF development quadruped from Lynxmotion, the robot kit brand of Quebec retailer RobotShop. It began as a hobby project by Mech-Dickel Robotics on beta Lynxmotion servos and became a kit built from Lynxmotion's Servo Erector Set brackets, with G10 composite body plates and aluminum side panels. Unlike the small 9 g servo dogs, every joint is a smart servo that reports position, current and temperature. The open body has room for an Arduino or Raspberry Pi plus sensors and a lidar. It is a platform to program rather than a ready-made pet, and it ships as a kit that must be assembled and calibrated with the included jig. Despite the shared name, it is unrelated to Hiwonder's MechDog. The nearest smart-servo dog at a lower price is the WAVEGO Pro.
