Overview

The 2026 successor to the JetHexa, with the same 18-servo hexapod body but new electronics. The original runs ROS Melodic on a Jetson Nano with an OLED display, while JetHexa2027 moves to ROS 2 Humble on a Raspberry Pi 5 or Jetson Orin board, uses an Aurora930 Pro depth camera and COIN-D6 or RPLIDAR C1 lidar, and adds a color LCD, voice module, large model lessons and the OpenClaw agent. It suits learners who want lidar SLAM, RTAB-Map 3D navigation and depth vision on a legged robot. The depth camera only comes in the Advanced and Ultimate kits, offline large models need a Jetson Orin, and Hiwonder's own benchmarks show the Pi 5 version running 3D vision at 15–20 fps.
