Overview

A child-focused social robot that used conversational AI to coach social-emotional skills, backed by clinical research. Embodied shut down in December 2024, and its technical director released OpenMoxie so owners could run the robot from a local server. A new investor revived Moxie in 2025, but by mid-2026 the new owners also announced they were folding and told users to migrate to OpenMoxie by the end of June.
