Overview
The Muscle Suit Every is a back-assist suit from Innophys, a Tokyo University of Science spinout, and it works very differently from motor-driven exoskeletons. It has no motor, battery or electronics; instead the wearer pumps air by hand into McKibben-type pneumatic artificial muscles, which then pull to help straighten the back during lifting, up to 25.5 kgf (100 Nm). That makes it light (3.8 kg), cheap for the category at about $1,000, rated IP56, and usable from -30 to 50 °C, with an endurance test of 400,000 cycles, but the assist is a fixed spring-like pull rather than a sensed, timed push. It is sold to care homes, farms, factories and logistics sites as well as to individuals for jobs like snow clearing, and the series has passed 35,000 units shipped. A lighter Every-Light (3.1 kg, 20 kgf) joined the range with monitor sales from Sep 30, 2026 (unconfirmed). Motor-driven rivals such as the ATOUN Model Y cost several times more.

| Assistance | Up to 25.5 kgf (100 Nm) of back support from McKibben artificial muscles that contract when filled with air, helping the wearer straighten up from a bend; the 3.1 kg Every-Light gives up to 20 kgf (80 Nm). |
| Joints | Back (lumbar) |
| Battery & runtime | No electricity or battery. The wearer fills the artificial muscles with the supplied hand pump, and one fill lasts about a working day according to the maker. |
| Operation | No electronics. Assist strength is set by how much air is pumped in, and a valve releases it; soft-fit and tight-fit styles suit lifting or holding a bent posture. |
