Weeks+Shipping: Not published. Ordered direct from feather.dev, and the site says it is "Shipping today" and fulfilling orders now, with US-based support. Lead time is not published. CEO Hoa Mai told Humanoids Daily it is manufactured in the Bay Area at about 30 robots a month, so the July 2026 FCC rule on foreign-made robots does not apply. Feather ↗
Remote control: Feather's SDK (
pip install feathersdk) runs on the robot's Jetson, so a laptop works over SSH or ROS 2. Direct laptop control is not documented. Teleoperation runs with Apple Vision Pro or Meta Quest headsets.Overview
A wheeled two-arm humanoid sold as a hardware platform for teams deploying their own robot AI, with 1 m arms, a 600 mm torso lift and an omnidirectional base. It is modular (swappable compute, cameras and end effectors) and Feather says it is already working in restaurants and labs. It suits startups and labs that want a reliable body without building one. The catch is a rated payload of only 1.8 kg per arm at full extension, no lidar, no published simulation model, and the base price includes no hands or grippers.

| Availability | Available |
| Programmability | Full SDK |
| Built-in autonomy | None / scripted · Moves only when controlled, or plays preset motions |
| LLM support | Possible via SDK · No built-in AI model. Feather is intelligence-agnostic and says it can run models from providers such as Nvidia, Skild or Physical Intelligence through its open SDK. The spec sheet lists a 4-mic array and speaker to "hold conversations with Feather", without naming a voice model. TechCrunch ↗ |
| MuJoCo simulation | None found · Feather advertises simulation support, but no public model was found. |
| NVIDIA Isaac simulation | None found · Feather advertises simulation support, but no public model was found. |
| Gazebo simulation | None found · Nothing public found. The SDK loads a robot URDF internally (urdf_loader), but the URDF is not published. |
