Overview

A 12-DOF research quadruped sold by Foxtech, a Chinese drone and robot retailer, with 48 N·m joints, a 3.7 m/s top speed and IP54 sealing. It climbs 16 cm stairs and 30° slopes (40° maximum), jumps 35 cm and carries about 8 kg. Its gaits are trained by reinforcement learning. Foxtech doesn't name the maker, but it appears to be a rebadged Genisom L1, since its main product photo and application photos are Genisom AI's own (unconfirmed). The torque, speed, IP54 rating, stair height, jump height, 43.2 V battery and expansion ports are the same, and Genisom's SDK calls the L1 “钢镚” (roughly "steel coin"). Foxtech also lists SG1 packages for Genisom's MATRiX 2.0 simulator, and the lidar bundle's photos show wheeled feet like Genisom's L1-W (unconfirmed).

At $5,672 it costs about half of the cheapest Unitree Go2 EDU, which has the same 3.7 m/s top speed and a Jetson on board. The SG1's onboard computer isn't published. It sits close to the DEEP Robotics Lite3 Venture ($6,480), which climbs slightly higher 18 cm stairs and has a better-documented SDK. US resellers list the Genisom L1 itself at $9,999, or $18,999 for the EDU version with SDK access. That makes the SG1 an inexpensive way into a ROS 2 research dog, though buyers get less documentation than from Unitree or DEEP Robotics.

Both listings carry the same robot. The extra $17,500 pays for the SLAM200E, a 3D lidar scanner that rides on the robot for site mapping. Foxtech sells mapping, route planning, obstacle avoidance and auto-charging as a separate navigation configuration with no listed price.
