Overview

The Ant-WA1 is the heavy-duty powered lifting exoskeleton from Shenzhen's Kenqing Technology, sold in Europe under the VIGX brand (earlier just Ant) through Luban Exoskeleton Technology GmbH in Germany. Unlike most back exoskeletons, which only push at the hips, it runs four motors and shoulder-to-hand straps so it helps lift a load from the ground all the way to shoulder height, which suits cement bags, ports, mines and loading docks. It is CE marked and IP56 sealed, and at 8.4 kg it is one of the heavier units in its class, roughly twice the weight of the German Bionic Exia or the IX BACK VOLTON. Kenqing's consumer walking exoskeletons, the VIGX π and VIGX π6, come from the same company. New units can be ordered today from European retailers at about €10,300, and Kenqing sells directly to businesses in China.
