Remote control: ROS 2 Humble runs in Docker on Raspberry Pi OS with Ubuntu 22.04 on the robot. Hiwonder's course uses VNC to reach the robot's desktop, with a virtual machine for RViz on a PC.

Overview

An Ackermann-steered sibling of the MentorPi M1, sized for a desk and built around a Raspberry Pi 5. The Standard kit adds a Nuwa-HP60C depth camera to the lidar, and the course covers slam_toolbox, Nav2 and RTAB-Map 3D mapping and navigation. Car-like steering makes it a fit for autonomous driving lessons, though it cannot turn in place like a mecanum or tracked robot. The small 2,200 mAh battery and unpublished runtime and speed are limits, and the lidar model is listed two different ways on the store page.
