Overview
PowrKnee is a powered knee brace from Yrobot, a Shanghai company with Harvard research roots that also makes ankle exoskeletons for clinics, and it is one of the few consumer models to assist the knee rather than the hip, a direct rival to the Dnsys Z1. It fits wearers from 155 to 195 cm and 50 to 136 kg with straps on the thigh and calf, and is aimed at hiking, stairs, downhill walking and everyday mobility rather than medical use. The US store (shop.yrobot.com) opened in early 2026 with the X and X Plus variants, ships to North America only, and showed both variants sold out as of October 2026, so new orders cannot be placed at the moment. The Chinese line-up uses base, Pro and Ultra names and launched in 2025 (unconfirmed). Published specs are thin, with no torque, battery capacity or per-side weight on the official store, and the warranty is one year with 14-day returns in the US.
