Overview

MO/GO is a pair of Arc'teryx Gamma soft-shell trousers with carbon-fiber cuffs and a powered knee module built into each leg, developed by Skip, a Google X spin-out, and announced in July 2024 as 'powered clothing' for hikers who want to go further with less strain. It is deliberately not a medical device and has no FDA clearance, and Skip markets it as a range extender for experienced walkers rather than a mobility aid. Compared with the Dnsys Z1 it bundles the exoskeleton into a garment with ten sizes and professional fitting, at about four times the price. Nothing has shipped to retail buyers yet, since the reservation page now quotes delivery in summer 2027 after earlier 2025 and 2026 windows filled (unconfirmed), with more than 1,500 pre-orders taken. Day rentals and demo fittings run at partner locations in the western US and Canada. Pre-order buyers get free shipping, a travel case and a two-year warranty, and the deposit can be refunded any time before shipment.
