Overview

The W3 (model RHWB-W3U9) is Haier's third hip exoskeleton and the first the appliance giant pushed through its own retail network, going on sale in late May 2026 at ¥15,999. It is a carbon-fibre and titanium-alloy frame with non-Newtonian-fluid padding that weighs 1.75 kg, which Haier claims may be a record for a dual-motor hip exoskeleton, and it supports walking and running up to 15 km/h at 60 dB of motor noise. Haier sells it online and in more than 200 stores across 50-plus Chinese cities, and has placed rental fleets at scenic sites such as the Xi'an City Wall, where it set up an innovation lab for heritage tourism. The earlier W1 and W2 models and a reported run rate of about 1,000 units a month are (unconfirmed). It costs roughly twice as much as a Hypershell X Pro S or VIGX π, is sold in China only, and publishes no battery capacity or runtime.
